PPA ANNOUNCES 2020 VIRTUAL EDITION, NATIONAL SYMPOSIUM POSTPONED TO 2021
Raleigh, NC, May 19, 2020 –
Perennial Plant Association is excited to announce the first “PPA: Virtual Edition” event scheduled for June 17, 2020 on New Ways to Communicate. Presented in partnership with GardenComm, this fast-paced webinar features five speakers who will each give a quick, 15-minute presentation on communication and marketing ideas to use during this – well, shall we say unusual spring and summer.
Our exciting lineup of marketing experts are Jessica DeGraaf, Proven Winners; C.L. Fornari, The Garden Lady; Jennifer Polanz, Green Profit; Jo Ellen Meyers Sharp, Write for You!; and David Wilson, Overdevest Nurseries. Following the educational webinar, participants can join us for a virtual Happy Hour (limited tickets available) where they are invited to grab their drink of choice, turn on their camera, and join select speakers and PPA Board members for a structured conversation.
More information and registration is available at perennialplant.org/page/VirtualEdition
Additional “Virtual Edition” events will be scheduled throughout the summer. Watch perennialplant.org for details on upcoming events.
While we are excited to connect with you virtually this summer, we do look forward to seeing all of our perennial plant friends and colleagues in person in 2021! As announced to PPA members a few weeks ago, the Perennial Plant Association Board of Directors voted to not hold a National Symposium in 2020. This was a unanimous decision and one we all feel confident is the right decision for the health and safety of our PPA Family. However, while the 2020 National Symposium is cancelled, we are pleased to announce that our trip to Lancaster is simply postponed and that the 2021 Perennial Plant Association National Symposium will be July 26-30 in Lancaster, PA and the 2022 Perennial Plant Association National Symposium will be July 25-29, 2022 in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Thanks so much to both of our venues for their flexibility in rescheduling.
More details about the 2021 National Symposium in Lancaster, PA will be posted to perennialplant.org in the coming months. We look forward to seeing our perennial plant friends online this summer and in Lancaster next summer!
