The Perennial Plant Association's National Symposium is July 28 - August 2, 2019.  Held in conjunction with All-America Selections and National Garden Bureau, the National Symposium will be in Rosemont, IL, in the Chicago area.

The National Symposium includes a three-day core symposium (Tuesday - Thursday) that features world-renowned speakers, including Piet Oudolf and Roy Diblik, tours of Chicago, and 2 great dinners!  Extend your trip to Chicago and join for an additional day of education on Monday or see all that Chicago and the surrounding area has to offer with optional tours on Sunday, Monday, and Friday.

All-America Selections' Judges and NGB Members should register for Tuesday and Wednesday as their two-day core Symposium, then can add in any of the days before or after to extend their stay and network with PPA members.  Tuesday afternoon and evening will feature a special tour and dinner for AAS-NGB participants. For Wednesday, all AAS-NGB participants should choose to register for Tour Option 1, Chicago Botanic Garden & City Tour.

You won't want to miss this opportunity to see Chicago!  Chicago truly lives up to its motto "Urbs in horto" (city in a garden).  More than 570 parks and public gardens span 7,600 acres.  Landscape luminaries - from Frederick Law Olmstead Sr., and Jens Jensen to Dutch plantsman Piet Oudolf - have created some of the most spectacular settings for Chicago.  Oudolf transformed the 2.5-acre site along the city's lakefront into Lurie Garden - a wild and contemporary urban landscape and the world's largest green roof.  There's the new "606" - 2.7 miles of abandoned rail line designed as a multi-use recreational trail and spectacular green space.  There's the Shedd Aquarium, Northerly Island and so much more to experience.

We're ready to welcome you!
